Quebec City really does feel like a taste of Europe in North America. I had three days in the provincial capital and loved it. The old town in Quebec is split into the original Lower Town and the more recent Upper Town. I’ll let the pictures do the talking here and talk about my trip to the falls further down.

Not far outside Quebec city are the Montmorency Falls. It’s place of great natural beauty and but also of historical significance in the war between the French and the British. I decided to hire a bike and ride out to the falls – about 45mins of easy riding each way. I’d only planned to spend a couple of hours out there but ended up spending most of the day taking it all in and then, in a spur of the moment decision, decided to take the zip line right across the top of the falls. I also have a video of the zip line which I’ll try to get up here soon.
